Review by hotel critic
My stay at Beau-Rivage Genève was a mix of highs and lows. The location was impeccable, with stunning views of the lake and easy access to shops, restaurants, and the train station. The building itself exuded charm and history, providing a delightful atmosphere for my Alpine adventure. The staff, for the most part, was attentive and gracious, ensuring all my needs were met promptly. However, there were a few hiccups, like the confusion with my room reservation. The room service was top-notch, offering a range of gourmet options that pleased my palate after a day of exploring the Swiss Alps. The highlight of my dining experience was at Le Chat-Botté, a Michelin-starred restaurant led by Chef Dominique Gauthier. The exquisite dishes paired perfectly with the Deutz champagne, creating a culinary journey I won't soon forget. The evening's program was equally delightful, with a New Year's Eve mountain menu that set the tone for a festive celebration. The themed menus offered unique culinary experiences, showcasing seasonal products and local specialties in a way that truly elevated my stay.Beau-Rivage Genève provided a luxurious retreat in the heart of Geneva. While there were minor service issues, the attentive staff and exceptional dining experiences made my trip memorable. I would recommend this hotel to travelers looking for a blend of elegance, history, and gastronomic delights in the Swiss Alps.
